A Little Lull

Julian's Bloody Mary

It's been quiet here, so I wanted to pop in and say hello. I've been busy with eating not-really-meals at home and traveling (I've got more coming up, which is very good for my wanderlust). This little lull is only temporary and I should be back with posting shortly.

The above photo is from Julian's in Providence, RI, where I had brunch with my sister last weekend. I've developed a habit of ordering a Bloody Mary (sometimes, more than one) when I'm on vacation. As I love hearing about people's food and drink quirks, please indulge me and pipe up about your "travel drink" of choice!

Not a drink, but I like to start off my vacations with a doner kebab. I guess it's from my first visit to Norway long ago. Lots of Turks in Norway and my cousin was insistent I try one. Then no matter where I went, I'd always encounter them. Those Turks sure get around! Amsterdam, Paris, London, Stockholm. So it's a nice little tradition that I try to observe when I can.

Bagnatic: I had some wine over the holiday weekend. :) Have you seen Cougar Town? Courtney Cox's character loves herself some wine, you should check it out!

Wandering Chopsticks: Kebabs don't spring to mind when I think of Norway, how interesting! Thank you for divulging a travel habit! :)

SinoSoul: Oh, so you don't actually get to the final step of eating local Chinese food in Jamaica? :P I admit, one has to be curious about such places, though!
